Defending Workers’ Rights

Uganda’s labour space faces a huge challenge with Vulnerable, Marginalised and Undocumented workers. These categories of worker are prone to a myriad of challenges including wrongful dismissal, refusal to pay their wages and related terminal benefits. Further many workers suffer work-related injuries but most are never compensated. Such workers end up depleting their life savings on medication without support from their employers and compensation for work-related injuries.

ADVEJI defends the workers’ rights through provision of Legal Aid Advisory and Support Services and advocacy campaigns.
