IDUBE MICHAEL DENIS works as a senior litigation officer in charge of Research at ADVEJI.
Idube Michael Denis is a lawyer. He studied and graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor of Laws degree. He is in active legal practice and has worked with Ayebazibwe- Makorogo & Co. Advocates, Mutungi & Co. Advocates where he has explored Civil and Criminal Litigation, Public interest Litigation.
Besides his litigation work, Michael also possesses enormous experience in social work and Community outreach activities. He has previously worked with a number of social justice focused Organizations like Justice Care Uganda which supports and promote human rights. He has also worked as a retained facilitator at International Republican Institute (IRI) in the district of Masaka and Mbarara where he interacted with Local Council and district leaders on the rights of Women, Children, and persons with disabilities. Michael also worked as a legal associate at Centre for Children’s Rights, an NGO working to promote the rights of vulnerable children in Uganda.
At ADVEJI, Michael supports the litigation department and heads the Justice for prisoners’ projects where he works with a number of lawyers to defend and advocate for the rights of prisoners who have been wrongly convicted or violated while in detention centers.
