Sheila Turinawe is a Member of Board at ADVEJI. Sheila is an advocate of the High Court of Uganda and Courts subordinate thereto. She went to Makerere University where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree and thereafter obtained a Diploma in law from the Law Development Centre. Sheila is currently pursuing further studies in the USA.
Sheila has a wealth of experience in legal aid work. She has worked with a number of reputable private law firms in Kampala and has been actively involved on probono legal work especially for indigent persons. Sheila also sits on boards for reputable organisations working to empower vulnerable people in communities. She is a Board member of Centre for Children’s rights Uganda, an organization working to protect the rights of vulnerable children in Uganda. She also sits on the Board of  Legal World Uganda.
At ADVEJI, Sheila will guide the team working to advance legal aid support services.
