Dr. Andrea Peters is ADVEJI’s Goodwill Ambassador & Strategic Advisor in America. She works and lives in America but is a passionate advocate of women and children’s rights in Uganda. Ms. Andrea believes education is the door to the freedom and growth widows, vulnerable young women and girls need to change their current state, so they have a future they can look forward to.

Andrea has been a consistent advisor and supporter of ADVEJI’s project that empowers poor and vulnerable young mothers and widows in Uganda with special focus on the victims of gender based violence (GBV), violence against children (VAC) in slums,  and other hard to reach vulnerable areas in Uganda. Andrea firmly believes every young woman and child should have equal access to opportunities like education, health and economic opportunities. Andrea also worked hard to help ADVEJI raise some resources to support a project called Kampala Slum Women aimed at enhancing women’s economic empowerment in Kampala slums.

Dr. Peters is also a passionate advocate of gender and racial equality with inclusivity being a cornerstone to true change both in the USA and across the world. Andrea spends her academic pursuits exploring gender-based differences that will ultimately lead to effective solutions for the underserved female population by delivering tools for continued success and growth across industries. When women are heard and educated, society wins!

Andrea loves to spend time with her daughter and her pets in her free time because they keep her grounded and focused on her WHY.
